Can I order a custom sized bracelet?
Yes! All you have to do is send the request in your order. Make sure to send your exact wrist size. To find your size, take a piece of string and wrap it snugly around your wrist. Do not overlap or hold it loose. Take the string and lay it on a ruler. This is your wrist size.
What are guitar strings made of?
Nickel: typically a stainless core with nickel exterior
Bronze: a metal alloy of about 88% copper and 12% tin
Phosphor Bronze: a copper alloy of tin and phosphorus
Do guitar strings tarnish?
The answer varies. Nickel strings typically do not although I’ve known them to darken on some people over a long period of time.
Bronze is the most reactive string and the most temperamental. When left unsealed it will patina to a nice rich dark gold color. In order to slow this, we coat all bronze guitar string designs with a liquid sealant.
Phosphor bronze guitar strings tarnish beautifully to a rich warm copper color. When sealed, they retain their bright rose gold color.
How do I clean my guitar string jewelry?
We suggest the following:
Brasso cleans all guitar strings and is a mildly abrasive cleaning agent. Use an old toothbrush to get into all the crevices. Clean throughout with warm soapy water to remove the cleaning agent. Polish and dry with a soft cloth.
You may also use this homemade cleanser. Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar to about 1 tsp of salt. Stir to dissolve and then dip your bronze or phosphor bronze jewelry into this solution. In a matter of seconds the colors return to their normal color. Use liquid soap and coat the piece to stop deactivate the color ion. Rinse with hot water. Dry with a soft cloth.
What happens if my piece should break?
It’s rare for one of our pieces of jewelry to break. Remember we are talking about guitar strings.
Breakage would be due to factors such as how often to wear the piece or how rough you are with jewelry. So these factors are always considered when evaluating your situation. Therefore we can’t guarantee a replacement. It’s a case by case consideration.
When will my items ship?
Turn around time for most custom orders is 7-10 days, If the items are already in stock, you can expect your order to ship within 3-5 days or less.
What happens if I lose an earring?
If you lose an earring, we cannot replace the lost earring due to sizing when the item is made. Please order a new pair. We always send the earrings with little silicone backs. Also a good tip is to bend the ear wires down to prevent loss. I’ve yet to lose one using these tips!
What happens is my package is lost or stolen?
It’s important to check with your local post office and to file a complaint with them. We are not responsible for USPS and deliveries.
If your package never arrives, we will always make sure you receive your order even if we have to send a replacement. Please note that it may require flexibility especially if you ordered a one of a kind piece.
*ALL SALES ARE FINAL. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CHANGED YOUR MIND. IF YOU ARE SENT A WRONG SIZE, WE WILL ALWAYS DO OUR BEST TO RESIZE OR REPLACE YOUR ITEM(S).
