I began creating guitar string jewelry in a season of deep uncertainty. As a caregiver walking alongside my husband’s mental health journey, it has demanded I learn how to hold strength and sorrow in the same hands. Art became the place where I could tell our story. What started as survival slowly became symbols of endurance, steadiness, and hope.

For many years, I have carried both the advocacy and the artistry with everything I had. I have shown up faithfully. I have created through exhaustion. I have believed in this work even when the path felt uphill.

And if I am honest — there has been weariness. Not from lack of love for the work, but from carrying it largely alone.

I’ve come to understand that for this work to remain honest and sustainable, it must be supported in a way that protects both the art and the artist.

However, the need for deeper support is greater than ever. The Joy Box will slowly transition and go away.  Jewelry will be reserved for limited releases, allowing each piece to remain intentional rather than obligated.

This transition matters deeply to me. It allows me to continue creating without depletion. It brings steadiness to our home. And it ensures that the advocacy woven into every design can endure for the long term.
